Enrollment Application Agreement
1. CONSENT TO AGREEMENT
Section 1.1 This Agreement describes the Event Management and Design Institute Enrollment Application Agreement ("Agreement") applicable to the services available through this Site. Before submitting an enrollment form and/or using any of these services, please read all of the terms and conditions carefully. By accessing any areas of this Site ("Site"), “You” (“Student”) agree to be legally bound and to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms and conditions, YOU MUST NOT USE THIS SITE. By clicking "I Agree", you confirm that you will comply with the terms and conditions in this Agreement. You and The Event Management and Design Institute (“Program” or “EMDI”) hereby agree and acknowledge as follows:
2. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION, & RETURN POLICY
Section 2.1. Student shall be responsible for all charges in U.S. currency.
Section 2.2. Certification will not be furnished until Student’s account is paid in full.
Section 2.3. A $35 NSF fee will be assessed on payments returned for insufficient funds. Students in Canada, Mexico and other foreign countries are responsible for any applicable custom duties and/or GST. Student is responsible for paying government costs, collection agency charges, reasonable expenses, and attorneys’ fees Program incurs in collecting delinquent payments.
Section 2.4. Students may withdraw from EMDI at any time. The steps below specify how to cancel Program:
Step 1: Submit an email request to email@example.com. Please indicate your name, email address, the name of the program you want to cancel along
with a short email explaining the circumstances why you wish to cancel the program.
Step 2: A written cancellation notice must be mailed to Program at 8120 Fenton St. Ste #204O. Silver Spring, MD 20910. Written notices of cancellation are effective from their postmarked date. The cancellation date is only effective on the day Student mail out the written cancellation notice.
Section 2.5. If student cancels within 3 calendar days after receiving access to the program’s training materials, the student is entitled to a full refund minus a $50 application.
Section 2.6. If student cancels within 4 to 8 calendar days after receiving access to the program’s training materials, the student is entitled to a full refund minus a $50 application and $175 accessing fee.
Section 2.7. If student cancels within 9 to 14 calendar days after receiving access to the program’s training materials, the student is entitled to a full refund minus a $50 application and $300 accessing fee.
Section 2.8. If student cancels after 15 calendar days after receiving access to the program’s training materials, the school is entitled to the full tuition.
Section 2.9. Any refund due will be issued within 30 days of our receipt of notice of cancellation.
Section 2.10. Shipping and handling are not refundable.
3. GOVERNING LAW, DISPUTES, & FEES
Section 3.1. This Agreement as well as the legal relations between the parties involved will be governed in all respects, including validity, interpretation, performance, and effect by the laws of the state of Maryland. Each party, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, hereby irrevocably waives all right to trial by jury as to any issue relating hereto in any action, proceeding, or counterclaim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or any other matter involving the parties hereto. The parties expressly and irrevocably consent and submit to personal jurisdiction and venue in the state of Maryland. Student agrees that any legal action or proceeding between him or herself and EMDI for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties' obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Montgomery County, Maryland. The prevailing party in any dispute will be entitled to all costs incurred, including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs.
